Second Suspect Arrested In Convenience Store Shooting

WASHINGTON, Pa – A second actor in the November 30th armed robbery and shooting at the Washington Food Market is now in custody. The City of Washington Police Department in a press release said that 19 year old Christian Ellis-Patrene is still at large. Police say he is armed and dangerous. Christopher Ellis-Valperga,18 now in custody in connection to the shooting. The Washington regional SWAT Team, local detectives and the Washington County District Attorney’s Office were granted for a search warrant for a house on Hayes Avenue on Friday afternoon and found evidence in connection to the case.Ellis-Valperga faces attempted homicide, robbery, aggravated assault and firearm charges. Patrene is charged with conspiracy to commit homicide, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and multiple misdemeanor charges. Additional related charges have been filed for both individuals that are now in custody. Julian Asbury, 17, of Washington, was arrested in connection with the crimes on Monday.The woman who was shot was last listed in stable condition.
