Sheatler Wins Race For County Controller

Acting County Controller Heather Sheatler a Republican running as a Democrat has defeated Republican candidate Pat Phillips for the County Controller Seat. Sheatler led the race out of the gate from the time that mail in ballot results were released and never gave up the lead. The final vote tally was 31,686-28,178. Sheatler says that she looks forward to working for the people for the next four years now that the “acting” prefix has been removed from her title. She said that she ran her campaign with accountability, transparency and integrity and looks forward to working with County Commissioners putting behind her recent struggles with them. Pat Phillips was gracious in defeat congratulating Sheatler on a long, hard fought campaign. He says that he will continue to do consulting work and see where the future takes him.
