Local State Representative Pam Snyder has announced her plan to retire effective at the end of her current term, which ends November 30. The Democrat, who represents parts of Washington, Greene and Fayette Counties says “it has been a true honor to learn, grow and serve on multiple levels of government”. In a news release, Snyder said “while I love being the voice of our community in Harrisburg, this past year has reminded me how short and precious our time is, and I look forward to having more time to spend with my husband and family.” Snyder’s career in public service spanned three decades. She served at the local, state and federal levels of government, with the last five terms as a State Representative in the 50th District.
