Some 800 members of the Steelers nation attended the annual Steelers Style fashion show over the weekend. The event, held at Stage AE near Acrisure Stadium, featured a welcome by Team President Art Rooney II, his wife, Greta, as well as head coach Mike McCarthy and his wife Jessica. The annual and the team’s largest fundraiser is an opportunity to raise funds for philanthropic organizations. This year’s proceeds benefit Cancer Bridges, the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research and the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program. John Denny is the Executive Director of the Chuck Noll Foundation, said “We are honored and privileged to be one of the recipients of the funds raised that will go to help make more grants, do early-stage innovative research in three particular areas of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of brain injuries resulting from sports activities.” Stephanie Ciranni, Executive Director of Cancer Bridges, said that some of their programs are located “on the cusp of Washington County. They are an organization that provides about 200 free programs and services to anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis. That totals to about 19,000 individuals in Western Pennsylvania. Cancer Bridges has been a recipient of funds since 1992.
