Two Accidents On I-70 Back Up Traffic For Hours Friday

TAYLORSTOWN, Pa. — Two separate tractor-trailer accidents caused major delays for hours Friday on Interstate 70 West in Washington County. The first accident reportedly around 1:00 p.m. involving a twin trailer big rig that rolled onto its side (pictured.) There is no word on what caused that accident, but cleanup did take hours according to reports. The second accident reportedly involved three tractor trailers and turned into a hazmat situation around 7:30 p.m. near the Taylorstown interchange. This accident was a rear end collision that sent hazardous liquids over the westbound lanes and one of the trucks involved was reportedly on fire. No one was seriously hurt in this accident.
