WASHINGTON, Pa. — Two individuals were flown to area hospitals following a police chase and crash in the City of Washington early Saturday morning. According to reports, city police pursued an SUV along Henderson Avenue just before 1:00 a.m. That chase reportedly led officers from Henderson Avenue to the 900 block of Allison Avenue via Wylie Avenue. After shearing a telephone pole near the GetGo Gas Station on Wylie, the suspects reportedly crashed into the front porch of McCarrell’s Tax Service and were heavily entrapped. Washington Police called for Washington City Fire, South Strabane Township Fire along with Ambulance and Chair EMS to the scene to help extract the suspects. Additionally, two STAT MedEvac helicopters were sent to landing zones set at the Wash High Football Field and Canton Township Fire Department. Reports say it took roughly 20 minutes to extract the suspects from the vehicle, and both were flown to area hospitals in critical condition. There is no word on the status or identity of either suspect. Susan McCarrell Gleason who owns the business says an 18-year-old and two juveniles were in the SUV that was reportedly stolen.  Washington City Police are still investigating the incident.
