Ukrainian drones has targeted St. Petersburg in what Russian officials called a “large-scale” attack, prompting Governor Alexander Beglov to advise residents to remain indoors. Authorities say 141 drones were shot down Saturday over the surrounding Leningrad region, with no immediate casualties reported. The strike follows a Wednesday attack that set an oil terminal ablaze hours before the opening of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s flagship economic forum in the city. Russia targeted Ukraine with 272 drones overnight, killing one person in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The strikes come a day after Putin rejected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposal for face-to-face peace talks.
