Victim Identified In Greene County Fire

The Greene County Coroner has identified the man who was killed when his home went up in flames on Thursday. Greene County Coroner Gene Rush has identified the victim as 80 year old Thomas H. Shaneyfelt, Sr. of 105 Creek Road, Morgan Township. Witnesses to the fire reported seeing black smoke but heard no explosion. Officials report that the fire may have started in the kitchen. The cause and manner of Shaneyfelt’s death are pending and still under investigation.
