Washington County Rite Aid Stores Added To Giant Eagle

Giant Eagle has announced a third wave of Rite Aid Pharmacy prescription transfers where they will be taking over prescription services for the bankrupt drug store chain. Two Washington County Rite Aid Pharmacies will be closing. The store at 4185 Washington Road in McMurray and the store at 601 West Pike Street in Canonsburg will have their prescriptions transferred to the Donaldson’s Crossroads Giant Eagle Pharmacy at 4007 Washington Road in McMurray. Those transfers will be official on June 17. Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy in May. The prescription transfers have been going on since early June.
