WHS Washington Hospital and WHS Greene have received national recognition. Both hospitals have received Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade “A” grades. These awards from the Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, are awarded twice each year in the spring and fall. WHS Washington Hospital has received this award three consecutive times and WHS Greene has won twice consecutively. The award recognizes hospital achievements in protecting patients from preventable harm in the hospital. The group uses more than 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.
