Peters Township & Fort Cherry opened defense of their WPIAL Football championships Friday evening with lopsided wins. Peters Township fell behind early, then rolled past Canon-McMillan. Fort Cherry shutout mercy-ruled Northgate. Wash High got a pair of Tristan Reed-to-Caleb Patton TD passes to get by McGuffey. Chartiers-Houston and Ringgold each have new coaches but were not able to snap lengthy losing streaks. Each week of the regular season, we’ll feature a pair of games on-air and online with free audio & multi-camera video coverage. In the first six weeks of the season, the WJPA Sports Network will cover all 14 Washington County teams at least once. Watch/Listen Here!
