Trinity ran past Chartiers Valley, taking sole possession of first place in the 4A Big Six Conference. The Hillers are one win from their first conference championship since 1986. Jonah Williamson and Owen Gardner each ran for over 100 yards for Trinity, Williamson scoring four touchdowns in the win. Canon-McMillan lost late at North Allegheny, the Big Macs in need of one more win to lock up a playoff spot. C-M fumbled the ball at the NA 1-yard-line with 1:32 left in the game. Peters Township handled South Fayette, keeping the #2 Indians perfect through eight games. Wash High rolled Charleroi, the Little Prexies clinching a 2A Century Conference playoff spot. Waynesburg’s loss at Keystone Oaks dealing a huge setback to the Raiders’ playoff hopes. Fort Cherry blew out Bishop Canevin, clinching the 1A Black Hills Conference championship. Chartiers-Houston’s win over Serra Catholic sets the Bucs up for a win & clinch scenario next week at Cornell. Bentworth handed Jeff-Morgan its first loss of the year, pulling even with the Rockets one game back of first place California. Avella lost at home to Carmichaels, putting the Eagles into nearly a must-win situation next Friday at Jeff-Morgan.
