WPIAL conference play begins tonight for 15 of the 19 football teams in the Washington/Greene County area. Peters Township, Trinity and Ringgold are in six-team conferences and won’t start league play until Week 6. Bentworth is in a seven-team league with one team in the section having a non-conference game each week. The other teams in the two-county area play squads they’ll battle for post-season berths. We’ll carry three games on the WJPA Sports Network tonight: Beth-Center at Avella on WJPA-FM (95.3) and Chartiers-Houston at Keystone Oaks on WJPA-AM (1450) with video coverage on our YouTube channel.
