The 2024 Printscape PONY League World Series is underway at Lew Hays PONY Field. Palmview, TX pulled away late to beat Mon Valley, PA. Guaynabo, PR jumped in front of Long Beach, CA early and never looked back. We’ll have every game live on WJPA-AM (1450) and online. Listen Here!

Mon Valley took 1-0 & 2-1 leads but Palmview countered  immediately, taking a 3-2 lead in the fifth before adding three insurance runs in the top of the seventh. Alex Leon doubled home a pair of runs in the rally. Javier Garza homered to set the final score. Mon Valley got on the board in the second with Braylon Schoch’s two-out double scoring Kennedy Nash. Two innings later, Jack Crovak and Nash worked a double steal. Mon Valley  had just three hits while committing four errors in the game.

Guaynabo, PR 12, Long Beach (Heartwell), CA 1
Two first-inning errors allowed Guaynabo to plate three runs on the way to the run-rule win over the West Zone champions. Already up, 3-0, the Caribbean champs sent 10 batters to the plate in the third, then scored four runs in the sixth, invoking Pony’s mercy rule. Six errors doomed Long Beach while Guaynabo pitchers allowed just three hits while striking out 12. Dylan Padilla homered and drove in three runs for the winners.
