Trinity’s Amber Morgan homered early and the Hillers rolled past Norwin and into the 5A softball semifinals. Canon-McMillan fell behind early, rallied to within a run but fell in the 6A quarterfinals. On the baseball diamonds, Peters Township scored four times in the bottom of the seventh including the game-winner on Vinny Sarcone’s single to eliminate defending champion West Allegheny. Trinity got a pair of home runs from Matthew Robaugh but it wasn’t enough as the Hillers were eliminated. Ringgold’s baseball season ended as well with the Rams’ first-round loss. Washington County has nine baseball and four softball teams alive. Eight of those 11 teams play in games Thursday, four of those will be on WJPA-AM (1450) or Listen Here!
