Cal Vulcans Host Frostburg State In NCAA’s

The California Vulcans hosts Frostburg State in the second round of the NCAA Playoffs this afternoon at Adamson Stadium. The Vulcans and Bobcats, which previously met in Week 9, both earned road victories over seeded CIAA teams last weekend. The Vulcans scored two touchdowns off turnovers early in the first quarter while claiming a 27-24 victory at third-seeded Virginia Union in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs. Junior Khalil Taylor led the team with eight tackles and added 1.5 TFL and one pass break-up. Fellow junior Keith Charney and sophomore Malachi Thomas each added six stops. Junior Kendrick Agenor finished with 122 rushing yards and one touchdown, while quarterback Roman Purcell rushed for two scores. The Vulcans and Bobcats are meeting for the second time in four weeks. Cal posted a victory at Adamson Stadium in Week 9 of the regular season this year in the first meeting between the programs since 1983.
