ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Justin Turner put the Dodgers ahead to stay with a record-breaking hit during a big inning as they finished a three-game sweep of the NL Division Series with a 12-3 win over the San Diego Padres. Turner’s RBI single broke a 2-2 tie as part of a decisive five-run outburst in the third inning. It was his 64th postseason hit, breaking a tie with Steve Garvey for the most in team history. The Dodgers are going to the NL Championship Series for the 14th time, matching the St. Louis Cardinals for the most appearances. They will face the Atlanta Braves. The Braves are in the NL Championship Series following a 7-0 shutout of the Marlins. Kyle Wright struck out seven and held the Marlins to three hits over six innings of his postseason debut, helping the Braves complete a three-game sweep in the division series. Travis d’Arnaud hit a two-run double and Dansby Swanson collected two RBIs to help Atlanta reach the NLCS for the first time since 2001.
