Washington County has two teams in the PIAA Football playoffs for the first time, thanks to Fort Cherry & Peters Township winning their first-ever WPIAL titles and Peters Township’s quarterfinal win in their state playoff debut. In Friday’s semifinals, Fort Cherry faces District 9 champion Redbank Valley in the 1A bracket while Peters Township takes on District 3 champion Cocalico in the 5A tournament.
