Heintschel Leads Pitt Past Bucknell

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mason Heintschel passed for 403 yards and six touchdowns as Pittsburgh rolled past Bucknell 59-0. The Panthers reached the end zone on their first five drives, with Heintschel spreading the ball around. The sophomore completed 29 of 37 passes to nine different receivers in just over two quarters. Censere Lee caught three touchdowns for Pitt, the most by a Panther wideout since 2022. Freshman Demetrice McCray scored twice, including a 48-yard pass late in the first half that put Pitt up 35-0 at the break. Bucknell struggled offensively. The FCS-level Bison didn’t cross 100 total yards until the fourth quarter. Pitt won despite XX penalties while improving to 4-0 for the second time in three years.
