All five teams from Washington/Greene County in the WPIAL football playoffs were eliminated Friday night. #4 Canon-McMillan took top-seeded North Allegheny scoreless to the fourth before falling 7-0 in the 6A semifinals. Wash High fell behind early, fought to get close but couldn’t get the ball back as Neshannock beat the Little Prexies, 30-27. McGuffey scored first but Steel Valley returned the ensuing kickoff to go in front to stay, ousting the Highlanders, 46-13. Fort Cherry took an early lead, then scored early in the fourth to pull to within a touchdown but fell to Rochester, 30-14. Mapletown’s best season ever ended with a 47-6 loss to South Side Area.
