Last week saw a number of WPIAL-wide #1 vs. #2 match-ups. This week, around Washington & Greene Counties, the games are just as important. Most teams have played five games to get to this point, though most of them have been non-conference games. Everybody plays League games this weekend including three match-ups we’ll have for you on-air and online. Trinity travels to Latrobe to take on the 4A Big Seven Wildcats. The winner takes control of a playoff spot in the conference. #1 Wash High rolls down I-79 to Waynesburg as two of the top three teams in the 2A Century Conference meet for the 62nd time. Then, Saturday night, at Dormont Stadium, at least a share of the 1A Black Hills Conference lead goes to the winner of the #4 Fort Cherry / #1 Bishop Canevin battle.
