California, Fort Cherry and Carmichaels clinched playoff spots with wins. Wash High’s loss, the second in three games, drops the Little Prexies into a battle for third place with McGuffey next week. Canon-McMillan tuned up for next week’s 6A Tri-County match-up at Mt. Lebanon with a non-conference win. The Big Macs reach the playoffs with a win or with a Seneca Valley loss. Peters Township has now lost two straight games out of section but the Indians can win the 5A Allegheny Six title next week with a 9-point or larger win at Bethel Park. Fort Cherry goes to Burgettstown next week with a shot at second place and a home playoff game on the line. Mapletown locked up the Tri-County South title, while Monessen, California and Carmichaels locked out the rest of the field.
