High School Football-Week 9

October 28, 2022 11:59 pm

Friday marked the final night of the regular season for the Boys of Fall. Canon-McMillan lost but still qualified for the playoffs when North Allegheny edged Seneca Valley.  Peters Township’s loss to Bethel Park leaves the Indians out of the post-season.  McGuffey rallied from an 18-point deficit to win at Wash High, keeping the Highlanders’ hopes of hosting a first-round game alive. The Little Prexies will definitely open the playoffs on the road. Fort Cherry’s win over Burgettstown not only dropped the Blue Devils to third place but OLSH’s narrow win over Cornell gave the Rangers the second home spot in the Black Hills Conference and they turned that into a home game in the first round. Mapletown capped a perfect regular season with a convincing win at West Greene. Monessen clinched a home game with a comfortable win over Beth-Center.
