Jack Dunbar scored a game-high 23 points, Dylan Donovan and Cam Mills each chipped in 16 as Peters Township rolled past Trinity. The Indians picked up a third straight win to stay within a game of 5A Section 1 leader Thomas Jefferson while the Hillers lost for the third game in a row. Jacob Dunkle and Dante DeRubbo paced Trinity, each with 14 points. Yough’s win over McGuffey drops the Highlanders two games back of first.  Burgettstown and Fort Cherry stayed perfect in 2A Section 4 play with a showdown at Fort Cherry looming Tuesday. Avella’s win moves the Eagles into a first place tie with Union & Rochester, two games clear of the first team out of the playoff race in 1A Section 1.

On the girls side, Canon-McMillan solidified its hold on a playoff spot, moving two games in front of 5th place Upper St. Clair. Chartiers-Houston scored a nice non-conference road win over 1A Section 2 leader Monessen.
