Fort Cherry took the lead midway through the first quarter and never looked back, rolling past Burgettstown and pulling into a tie for first place atop the 2A Section 4 standings. This was the third straight broadcast on the WJPA Sports Network where an unbeaten section leader lost on the road. Raney Staub scored 16 points to lead the Rangers. 6A #1 Peters Township won its 19th straight game to start the season. Trinity won for the third straight outing after losing four consecutive overtime games. McGuffey clinched a playoff spot despite losing at home. Chartiers-Houston and Wash High both won and remain tied on top of 2A Section 4. Avella kept its ultra-thin playoff hopes alive with a win at Jeff-Morgan.
