Joey Bart Placed On Injured List; Endy Rodriguez Called Up

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed catcher Joey Bart on the 10-day injured list due to a left foot infection. Bart was hitting .259 with two homers and nine RBIs while sharing catching duties with Henry Davis at the time of the injury. The Pirates called up catcher/designated hitter Endy Rodriguez from Triple-A Indianapolis to replace Bart. Rodriguez was hitting .221 with one home run and 16 RBIs at the time of his call-up. Pittsburgh also called up reliever Brandan Bidois from Triple-A and optioned reliever Cam Sanders back to the minors.
