
Mitch Keller was a winning pitcher for the first time since his season debut as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the New York Mets 9-1 Friday Night at PNC Park. The Pirates’ bats were silent in the first inning, but came alive in the second. Bryan Reynolds his a three-run homer in the 8th. Keller had gone 15 starts, including 10 losses, in between victories. The Pirates are now 33-50. It’s another quick turnaround for the teams as they are back on the North Shore this afternoon. Bailey Falter goes to the mound for the Pirates.
