Big 12 Will Distribute Record $470 Million

June 1, 2024 3:57 am

IRVING, Texas (AP) — Big 12 schools will share in a record $470 million in revenue distribution. That figure was revealed Friday when the conference wrapped up its first spring meetings as a 14-team league. The 10 full-share members will get smaller amounts than they got last year because of the additional schools that joined the league for the 2023-24 academic year. First-year members BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF each get partial shares of about $18 million each. That leaves about $398 million to be split among the league’s other 10 schools, down from about $440 million last year. That includes Oklahoma and Texas before they move to the SEC this summer.
