CINCINNATI (AP) — Joe Flacco’s time as the Cincinnati Bengals’ starting quarterback may be limited. The team has opened the 21-day window for Joe Burrow’s return from a turf-toe injury, which could make Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh one of Flacco’s last starts this season. Flacco, who joined the Bengals in October, has led the team to an explosive offense despite dealing with a shoulder injury. He remains focused on the upcoming game against the Steelers, not on his future with the team. Flacco’s arrival was due to Jake Browning’s poor performance after Burrow’s injury.

A Miami judge ordered that former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown will be released on $25,000 bail and must wear an ankle monitor. He has pleaded not guilty to the second-degree attempted murder charge in Florida. That carries a potential 15-year prison sentence and a fine up to $10,000 if he’s convicted. His lawyer said the 37-year-old Brown would return to his home Florida while the case proceeds. Brown is accused of grabbing a handgun from a security staffer after a celebrity boxing match on May 16 and firing two shots at a man he had gotten into a fistfight with earlier. Brown’s lawyer says it was his own gun.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mike Tomlin isn’t worried about Aaron Rodgers bouncing back after a tough game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Rodgers completed only 16 of 31 passes for 161 yards with a late touchdown and two interceptions. Tomlin says the Steelers need to improve on third downs and create more big plays to help out the NFL’s oldest starting quarterback. Pittsburgh has struggled with third-down conversions, making only 21% over the last three weeks. Tomlin wants to see more from players other than DK Metcalf, who is frequently double-teamed. Pittsburgh hosts Cincinnati on Sunday as it tries to hold onto its slim lead in the AFC North.
