November 13, 2023 4:45 am

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers are running up wins, and running out of healthy inside linebackers. A week after Cole Holcomb’s season ended with a knee injury, veteran Kwon Alexander is going to join Holcomb on injured reserve after sustaining a “serious” left leg injury in the first quarter of a 23-19 win over Green Bay. Browns Rally Late To Beat Ravens

November 13, 2023 4:43 am

BALTIMORE (AP) — Dustin Hopkins kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired to cap a furious Cleveland rally in the fourth quarter, and the Browns edged the Baltimore Ravens 33-31. Cleveland trailed 31-17 before Deshaun Watson delivered the type of victory the Browns have been waiting for from their high-priced quarterback. Watson threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Moore with 8:57 remaining. Then one of Lamar Jackson’s passes caromed high into the air and was picked off by Greg Newsome II, and he returned the interception 34 yards for a TD just 41 seconds later. Still down one because of a missed extra point, Cleveland drove 58 yards for the winning kick.

November 12, 2023 6:46 am

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. Offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore served as acting head coach and led the Wolverines to a 24-15 victory. Manuel says a hearing in the school’s lawsuit challenging the Big Ten’s punishment of Harbaugh is scheduled for Nov. 17.

Whether Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh will be leading his team on the sideline was is in the hands of a judge. The Big Ten banned Harbaugh from coaching the rest of the Wolverines’ final regular-season games as punishment for a sign-stealing scheme. The school almost immediately asked a judge for a court order putting the penalty on hold.
