Brooke Opferman scored in the opening half, Bella Spergel after intermission, leading Peters Township past District 10 champion McDowell. The Indians move to the PIAA Quarterfinals Saturday against Owen J. Roberts, the District 1 6th place finisher.
Boys 1A Charleroi 3, Karns City 0
WPIAL runner-up Charleroi took a 1-nil lead to intermission, then tallied a pair of goals in the second half to down District 9 champion Karns City. The Cougars advance to the PIAA Quarterfinals Saturday against McConnellsburg, the District 5 champion.
