PITTSBURGH (AP) — Rookie shortstop Konnor Griffin tied a season high with four hits and the Pittsburgh Pirates rallied past Kansas City 8-5. Brandon Lowe added his 32nd home run as the Pirates rallied from an early four-run deficit to move to .500 with eight games remaining. Brandon Eisert picked up the win in relief of reigning NL Cy Young winner Paul Skenes. Gregory Soto worked the ninth for his 15th save but just his first since Aug. 1. Vinnie Pasquantino and Michael Massey homered for the Royals.
