MINNEAPOLIS — Michael Perez had three hits and three RBI, helping Trevor Cahill and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Minnesota Twins 6-2 on Saturday. Cahill (1-2) permitted one run and two hits in six innings. The right-hander retired the Twins in order in five of his innings. It also was his first win for the Pirates after two rough starts that left him with a 9.69 ERA going into the game. Minnesota lost for the 10th time in 12 games. Michael Pineda (1-1) allowed five runs, four earned, and six hits in 4 1/3 innings. Jake Cave had two of the Twins’ three hits.
