PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh continued its perfect start with a 27-13 win over Syracuse. The Panthers improved to 3-0 with the victory. Pitt piled up nearly 250 yards rushing to make Pat Narduzzi a winner in his school-record 144th game as head coach. Damon Ferguson Jr., La’Vell Wright, and Mason Heintschel ran for touchdowns for the Panthers. Syracuse again struggled with penalties. The Orange entered the game as the most penalized team in the country and were flagged nine times for 90 yards. Steve Angeli threw for 167 yards for Syracuse before being benched after two late interceptions. Syracuse travels to UConn next, while Pitt hosts Bucknell.
