Colton Jones threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns, all in the first half, Jacob Pugh added another 90 yards and a pair of TD passes as Washington & Jefferson rolled to a 50-7 home win against Bethany. Ray Holmes ran for a his first two touchdowns on the season, coming on in relief of starting tailback Justin Huss who left the game early with a knee injury. TJ Troxelll caught Pugh’s first pass of the game for a 43-yard touchdown. Anthony Rosati caught Jones scoring passes from 59 and 12 yards. Zach Cernuto hauled in a 13-yarder from Jones as well. Bethany turned the ball over four times in the first half, each leading to a W&J touchdown. The Presidents are now 3-1 overall, 1-1 in the Presidents Athletic Conference, a game back of Carnegie-Mellon (2-0) and Case-Western Reserve (2-0), a half-game back of Westminster (1-0). W&J will host Allegheny for Homecoming next Saturday.
