Presidents Strong, Win at Case Western

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Junior quarterback Justin Heacock tossed three first half touchdowns to lead the 11th ranked Washington & Jefferson College football team to an impressive 37-14 victory over Case Western Reserve University Saturday night in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference game at DiSanto Field. Joey Koroly accounted for a 167 yards of total offense and three total touchdowns in the victory. Koroly rushed 25 times for 114 yards and two scores. The junior running back added four catches for 53 yards and a receiving score. Case scored to tie the game at 14-14 with 45 seconds left in the first half. W&J answered quickly, with Heacock connecting with Payton Skalos for the second time in the half, putting the Presidents in front to stay. Koroly, who caught a 35-yard TD pass before intermission, scored twice on the ground in the fourth quarter, part of his 114 yard rushing night on 25 carries. W&J ran for 178 yards, 392 total yards in the win.  Heacock went 20-33 for 204 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.  W&J held Case to just 262 yards total offense, only 197 passing off the hands of 2019 PAC Offensive Player of the Year Drew Saxton. Washington & Jefferson is now 4-0, 2-0 in conference play. Case Western drops to 2-2, 1-2 in the league.
