PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — No. 7 Penn State unexpectedly struggled against UCLA, a winless team, Saturday. It followed a double-overtime loss to Oregon last week. UCLA is known for having one of the worst offenses. They started strong with an 11-play drive, scoring a touchdown. The Bruins then surprised Penn State with an onside kick, leading to a field goal and a 10-point lead. Penn State’s defense couldn’t stop the run, and UCLA dominated time of possession. The Lions, once favorites for a national championship, now face a challenging stretch in the Big Ten. Quarterback Drew Allar remains optimistic about their playoff chances. (Photo: AP)
