#14 Bentworth played error-free ball and took advantage of two errors to score the game’s only run, downing #3 Ligonier Valley. Jocelyn Babirad reached on an error, moved to second on Emily O’Dell’s single and scored when Kyleigh Glaze’s grounder wasn’t fielded cleanly. Jaclyn Tatar got the win, holding Ligonier Valley to four hits and one walk over seven innings.
Mackenzie Gillis lined a solo home run in the bottom of the second inning for the only run of the game as #3 Pine-Richland eliminated Canon-McMillan Wednesday afternoon in the 6A softball quarterfinals.
