Jacob Macosko and John Peduzzi each caught eight passes and scored three times leading Washington & Jefferson to a 49-7 win at Geneva Saturday afternoon, clinching a League-best 28th conference championship. W&J also locked up an NCAA Division III playoff bid. Macosko’s first scoring catch moved the Peters Township senior into fifth place on the all-time career receiving touchdowns list, passing Alex Baroffio & Craig Besong. Peduzzi is second on that list, now four back of Jesse Zubik’s all-time mark of 54 TD receptions. QB Kellen Stahl completed 20-of-27 passes for 385 yards and six touchdowns. The Presidents defense held Geneva’s high-scoring offense to a single score and that coming after W&J led 49-0. Sam Coleman snared a pair of interceptions for W&J. Rudy Morris added another, giving the Red & Black defense 16 for the year. W&J hosts Thiel on Saturday to close the regular season.
