The Rangers are looking to get back to the finals for the first time since that day but will have to beat Bishop Canevin for the second time this season. Wash High beat Beaver Falls for the 2001 championship. The Tigers stand in the way of Washington’s fourth trip to the finals since that November afternoon. Peters Township will make its third championship game appearance in five seasons, the Indians still searching for their first WPIAL title. Peters Township will face Pine-Richland, the defending champion Rams making their 7th title game appearance in 10 years.
