1A Quarterfinals
#1 Fort Cherry 36, #9 Neshannock 9, Listen/Watch
Eli Salvini ran for 204 yards and a pair of second half touchdowns leading Fort Cherry to its 40th consecutive win against WPIAL opponents. Matt Sieg ran for 129 and two touchdowns as the Rangers earned a third straight trip to the WPIAL semifinals.
#4 Laurel 40, #12 Chartiers-Houston 21, Listen/Watch
Laurel took a 14-0 lead to the locker room at the half, then extended it to 28-7 in the third on the way to the win, earning the Spartans a match-up with Fort Cherry next week. Kolton Carlson and Jack Miles each scored twice for Laurel. Aaron Walsh threw three TD passes for Chartiers-Houston.
2A Quarterfinals
#5 Wash High 31, #4 South Allegheny 7, Listen/Watch
Wash High took a pair of interceptions back for touchdowns as the Little Prexies eliminated South Allegheny. Blaise Naraskavitch and Tristan Reed each recorded a Pick Six in the first half, helping Wash High to a 24-7 intermission lead. The Little Prexies lost Naraskavitch to a leg injury halfway through the final period. Wash High will play Seton-La Salle in the semifinals next week.
5A Quarterfinals
#2 Peters Township 42, #7 Bethel Park 14
Cole Neupaver ran for four touchdowns and caught a scoring pass, leading Peters Township back to the semifinals. The game was 14-14 at the half before the Indians scored 28 unanswered points. Peters Township will take on Upper St. Clair in the semifinals.
6A Semifinals
#1 Central Catholic 44, #4 Canon-McMillan 7
Matt Hirsch scooped a fumble and returned it 76 yards, giving Canon-McMillan a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter but it was all Central Catholic from there as the Vikings clinched a 7th straight trip to the 6A title game. The Big Macs were held to just 117 yards total offense.
