The WPIAL Softball brackets were released Thursday afternoon, including eight Washington County teams, four more from Greene County. Bentworth (2A #2), Carmichaels (1A #2) and Chartiers-Houston (1A #3) were the highest-seeded teams from the two-county area. Each received first-round byes to Thursday’s quarterfinals. Trinity (5A #6), Charleroi (2A #6) and West Greene (1A #5) are also seeded in the top six but will play opening round games Monday and Tuesday.
